Can't decide? Hear from our volunteers
What is better than hearing the experiences of our various programs from past volunteers? Below are some of the things they have to say...
Jun Ye, RI Volunteer
Elderly befriending allowed me to learn more about the needs and concerns of the elderly residents in our society. Through this, I hope that more volunteers can join this endeavour so that we can seek to resolve the issues that they might face. Listening to the stories and experiences shared by the elderly widens our horizons greatly too!
Shreya, RI Volunteer
Volunteering in the digital clinic was an insightful experience as teaching the elderly to use digital devices made me understand my privileges and what I took for granted. It also provided me with an avenue to bond with the elderly who were not only fun to talk to but also offered advice based on their own life experiences.
Kushal, RI Volunteer
Participating in events such as the Chinese New Year celebration in 2019 truly gave me a glimpse into elderly befriending. As a person with no prior elderly befriending experience, this sparked my interest in elderly befriending and paved the way for volunteering with Project Honey and Bread full-time!
